28 dec 09 > so we ventured off for a whopping-23-mate-team-epic-bobb down the orange .. an insane experience that i highly recommend. according to marty, you can never do it enough ! i thought i'd aim for a more cleopatra-kind-of-a-vibe holiday .. rather than exert to much effort. you know, perhaps soak up some rays, paint my nails, while sipping on a mai thai. so i specifically chose 2 x duzi marathan paddler, he-man, master of the wild extraordinaire, jase rattray, as my kayak partner ..
from that moment on ... pear !
our carefully selected yellow submarine was as heavy as freight train - m'yeah, we bailed .. and then some .. !
being t-boned into the rock at shambuck was delightful ... i still have three small calf muscles on my right leg ! but taking the cake for all round sheer delight, was discovering that cape union mart was indeed full of shit and that the water proof bag carrying the "royal heirloom" .. my canon mk 11, was not so waterproof after all. so it's with a heavy sigh, that i present to you a very thin ( half a day of five ) series on the epic orange tour. .. and jase, ... the sweetest guitar tunes down the orange, you can be my wing man anytime !
